Canada: Cenovus Energy rachète son concurrent Husky pour 23,6 milliards de dollars canadiens

(Reuters) - Le groupe d'énergie canadien Cenovus Energy a conclu un accord pour racheter son concurrent Husky Energy pour 23,6 milliards de dollars canadiens.

Dans un communiqué commun, les deux groupes indiquent que la transaction sera intégralement réalisée par échange d'actions.

Combinés, les deux groupes devraient dégager 1,2 milliard de dollars canadiens de synergies par an.

Alex Pourbaix, l'actuel directeur général de Cenovus Energy, prendra la tête du nouvel ensemble, tandis que Jeff Hart, actuellement directeur financier d'Husky Energy, deviendra le directeur financier de la nouvelle entreprise.
