Jerome Powell, Banquier Central de la Fed, a dit tout haut ce que la Fed pensait tout bas depuis un moment : il ne croit plus au risque inflationniste. Conséquences : désormais la Fed tolèrera une inflation (ponctuellement) trop forte et un taux de chômage trop faible, puisque de toute façon l’un ou l’autre ne dégénéreront pas en hyper inflation. Ainsi, la Fed s’autorise à maintenir une politique monétaire ultra-accommodante, durablement, jusqu’à preuve du contraire…
